Nearest train station is Colchester Station or Colchester Town then a bus to Highwoods (Tesco) then a 5 minute walk from there.
Buses leave from the top of East Hill in Town.
The venue is next to the Bluebell doctors surgery, Highwoods.

If Driving: Leave the M5 at Junction 11. Take the A40 towards Gloucester. At the first roundabout exit left. Continue to next roundabout and take the second exit onto Crest Way. Turn left and you will find Holiday Inn. Parking is available but you must register your vehicle at the reception on arrival.
Public transport: Gloucester railway station and bus depot are opposite each other. At the bus depot find the Great Western Road stop. Take a Stagecoach West bus towards Barnwood, Wotton Hall Club. Travel time approximately 10 minutes. These buses run every 15 Minutes. Get off at Wotton Hall Club. The Holiday Inn is walking distance from there.

Gazebo space cannot be guaranteed please be mindful and take up as little space as possible to allow others to camp comfortably

No electrical hookups are available, so please plan accordingly.

2026 Kent Campout & Convention – We return to Hamlet Wood campsite, deep in the kent countryside for a weekend of fellowship.
Main shares, dancing under the stars, campfire jam sessions, food and BBQ, Wellbeing workshops, kid’s activities and plenty of fellowship. Family friendly but no dogs please (campsite rules)
Weekend of 28-30 Aug 2026 – weekend camping and day tickets available
Daytime Venue (Friday 31st July until Sunday 2nd August 2026) will be at Newcastle Civic Centre
Evening Entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights (until midnight) will be at Holiday Inn Newcastle-Jesmond, which is about 10 minutes walk away

This is a back-to-basics weekend of recovery, fellowship and fun.
Facilities are simple running water, sinks and toilets (no showers) so please come prepared and bring your own food.
There will be:
Morning Just for Today meetings each day
Evening shares around the campfire
Organised fun and games throughout the weekend
Saturday night BBQ (on sale) enjoy dinner and fellowship
Refreshments will be available tea, coffee, drinks and snacks.
Enjoy local walks up Butser Hill, take a dip in the East Meon River, or explore Queen Elizabeth Country Park on foot or bike.
